Bolygó is a community space that provides a platform for young people, organizations, movements, and local residents who wish to get more involved in environmentalism. It is a physical space where we organize events and training sessions, and help young people implement their own green projects. It’s a home and a community for everyone who is concerned about the climate and ecological crisis and wants to take action for a better future. At Bolygó, environmentalism, arts, culture, and activism intersect with community action.
It is important for us that Bolygó is accessible to everyone for free. However, maintaining the space and organizing the programs comes with a significant cost. We need your support to ensure that Bolygó remains a great and stable place in the future.
We believe that a community space can only be called truly a „community” if its members actively participate in maintaining it! This space belongs to all of us, and we shape and use it together. In order to best serve the community’s interests, it is crucial for us that the space operates with community support.
Join us with your donation and help maintain Bolygó!
What can we use your donations for?
- 12 EUR – For purchasing everyday household essentials.
- 25 EUR – For buying inspiring and thought-provoking books for our green library, which our visitors can read to expand their knowledge and spark new ideas.
- 50 EUR – For acquiring materials needed to make birdhouses for a workshop.
- 75 EUR – For promoting Bolygó’s events and programs, so we can reach more people, including those who are not yet interested in environmental and nature protection topics.
- 100 EUR – For the fees of a sound technician for a larger Bolygó’s event, so more people can attend.
- 125 EUR – To provide full technical equipment and an expert technician for young people to record podcasts on topics of their choice.
- 195 EUR – To organize a workshop where we invite experts on a specific topic to share their knowledge with a broader audience. This can take place not only through lectures but also workshops (e.g., urban composting, history of green movements).
- 250 EUR – To provide support and mentoring for a green project initiated by a young person, covering the human resources, equipment needs, services, communication, and mentoring.
The Bolygó Community Space is operated by Greenpeace Hungary. Your donation is collected and managed by the Bolygó Association, which participates in organizing events and other activities at Bolygó.
